Free Marketing Hack for a Local Business

Sometimes, you have to grow your business, and you have not got much budget at all.

In these instances, the power of people and proof can do the hard work for you.

What do I mean by this?

Let’s take an example…

An Arborist – Better Trees Bay of Plenty – located nearby Tauranga in New Zealand.

Here they are:

To start with, we highly recommend taking LOTS of before and after photos of work, with the clients consent of course.

These images can be used in a variety of FREE places, to demonstrate your skills, and prove that you are good.

For example, you can post these images in your Google Business Profile, on your website, and your social media accounts. These can be very compelling.

Here is an example from the Better Trees Bay of Plenty Facebook Page:

If you take a browse at their Google Business Profile HERE, you’ll see more images that PROVE their quality and skill.

You’ll also notice on the Google Business Profile that this business has a healthy amount of 5 star reviews. These help the Google Business Profile become prominent in their local area, and are a very convincing tool to show people that yep, these guys are good.

If people can see that OTHER people use you locally, and they can also easily find before and after images, you are well on your way to getting local leads into your business, essentially for free.

BUT – how do you GET these free reviews, and also before and after images?

In fact, there are LOADS of ways to get reviews for your business, you just have to think creatively about methods that will work for YOUR type of client.

Don’t think that bigger, international companies can’t use testimonials and proof as a key tool…. it’s possibly even more important!

Do you think an endorsement from a huge international company would be a good thing? You betcha!

Testimonials / reviews / proof / evidence… call it what you will, but humans like to be comfortable and we DO follow the herd to a large degree.
